Materials:
- Building materials list
- Order forms/budget
- Building work plan
Lesson Level Learning Objectives:
- MS-ETS1-4 Develop a model to generate data for iterative testing and modification of a proposed object, tool, or process such that an optimal design can be achieved.
Phenomenon:
- Group model drawing, budget, work plan
- Students will get into their new groups, share out their individual models, and draw a group consensus model.
- Gallery walk - Students will share their group models with the class in a gallery format and reflect upon their own designs - making changes as they see fit.
- Students will create a budget and a work plan for the creation of their prototype.
What we Figured Out:
- Students learn to design within a budget.
- Determine the best design to meet the criteria and constraints.
